191st AHC Association Election News

Members of the 191st AHC Association were mailed ballots with the nominees selected by the nomination committee.  If you wish to bring your membership current, or wish to join the association and vote at the reunion you will need to do the following prior to the business meeting on Saturday, September 6, 2008:

1)  Join the association, or pay your dues.  See Bill Janes to join and obtain a ballot.

2)  Complete your ballot, and return it not later than noon on the day of the business meeting.

Note:  Annual Dues for membership in the 191st AHC Association are due on January 1, and expire on December 31 each year.  Life memberships do not expire.  Annual Dues paid in 2008 will expire December 31, 2008.

From the bylaws adopted at the Branson Reunion:

Section 4. Membership and Dues Assessments:

a.   Annual dues shall become due on January 1^st each year or when the initial application for membership is submitted. The membership year of the association shall begin January 1^st and end December 31^st.

b.  Dues that do not reach the National Headquarters by January 30^th shall be considered delinquent. A member shall not be considered “in good standing” with the Association until his dues have been paid. Members who are not in good standing forfeit rights and privileges to vote, serve on committees, or participate in General Membership meetings.

The 191st Assault Helicopter Company will hold it's 2008 Reunion at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky September 5 - September 7, 2008.

Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements, and hotel reservations.

For those who wish to arrive early, or stay longer, the Galt House will honor these negotiated rates as well.

DEADLINE for Hotel RESERVATIONS is August 3, 2008 to get the group rate.

As at previous reunions, the central meeting place will be the hospitality room, where the 191st family can meet, chat, share pictures, and just be together again.  The hospitality room will be available throughout the reunion, and snacks and beverages will be available there.

Since some costs will need to be paid in advance and we will need a headcount,  it is necessary to register and submit those fees by July 30, 2008.  Activity prices are summarized on the registration form.   Mail the registration form to:

The Belle of Louisville

On Friday Evening, September 5, 2008 we will be sailing on a two hour cruise on the Belle of Louisville, an authentic Paddle Wheel River Steamer.  Cruise/Dance tickets are $17.00 per person, and Cruise/Buffet Dinner/Dance tickets are $35.00.  For those not wishing to sail on the Belle, the hospitality room will be available.
